Had a wonderful time as usual sailing with Sam and others! Lovely!

What a blast... one of my great adventures.  To Skipper Sam, a great big THANKS for your hospitality, patience and gourmet meals...every day a cuisine delight.  I sailed with a group of people that related, had fun and worked together.  This trip will stay etched in my memory.

Thank you so much for such an exciting adventure - it's something that will stick in our minds for a long time when we're back home.  It's lived up to our expectations and more; the sailing was awesome, so many beautiful bays and sunshine sailing (mostly), and delicious food - don't know how you jiggle it all!  First proper long sailing trip - first of many I hope.

Sam, thank you for a wonderful vacation. Excellent hospitality, food was fantastic and all of your sailing knowledge.  God willing I will sail with you again!

I started my journey nervous and pale

No seadog or sailors tale

The first sea journey was a little tough

The wind was high and the sea was rough

Initially terrified and harnessed for fear

I soon relaxed and enjoyed the cheer

Winching and steering and pulling the slack

I began to understand the sailing craik

The food was delicious and tasty

The sailing relaxed and not too hasty

We reached speeds of over 8 knots

The beer in the evenings was lots and lots

As the sun came out and we started to tan

Of sailing I think I could become a fan

The experiences shared are too many to list

Supermoon, stars, mahi, dolphins; gives the gist

Sam you are a star!  Thanks for all the wonderful home cooked food, the entertainment and most of all your patience with a rookie crew member!  Had a great holiday and can't wait to see you again - goodbye blue waters...

We had a great adventure and on the Yvonne + Robert rating scale we give the top rating of excellent.  Had such a wonderful vacation.

Great holiday; wind at our backs under full press. Much needed space and a chance to bounce ideas off other like minded sailors.  Food and drinks were wonderful and the sailing just like it should be.

You cannot bottle sunshine and happiness but Sam comes as close as one skipper can.
The best way to enjoy a Yacht IBIS adventure is to know what you want. If you want to be catered to in white gloves with table clothes, this may not be your trip. There are great options elsewhere. If you are looking to have a great full participatory sail that has you pulling lines, grinding winches, taking the helm, climbing over everything and making lifelong friendships, sign aboard to be an IBIS pirate.

I had a great time sailing from Grenada to St Vincent. The weather and the wind were perfect and Neil was an excellent skipper. I want to do some more sailing next year so keep me informed. The boat was perfect and I enjoyed my fellow crew members. All in all a fantastic experience and look forward to future sailing trips.

A big thank you for providing me with a holiday experience definitely not to be found in the mass market brochures, which was precisely what I was looking for and do believe the rest of our crew would agree judging by the fun we all had. The fantastic impromptu barbecues on many Caribbean islands with the locals and hot reggae sounds, rum punch and wonderful company interspersed by sailing daily being fanned by warm breezes and in my case by my captains tongue for I know nothing about sailing but enjoyed gentle tuition. So to sum it all up "I'll be back"

I just completed the whistle stop trip on Ibis, with Sam captaining. Three other guys and I served as "crew". For me , this was the trip of a lifetime. We sailed about 450 miles in mostly great conditions. I learned a bunch about cruising.
We did 3 night sails. Sam and Neil scheduled several shore days for us. They lined up some great activities.
The food was wonderful. The company was a blast. I got a year's worth of laughter in.

Just a quick note to say many thanks for last week. From the start you and Francois made me feel welcome in a warm and friendly atmosphere and took me to some lovely places in the Caribbean.  I thoroughly enjoyed it; it was a sailing holiday and that’s exactly what we did. I will be looking at your trips again for next year.

"I have just spent 2 weeks with Sam Bartlett on her Yacht Ibis, I was a complete novice to sailing, having only done a couple weekends with disinterested skippers in poor british weather on tired old boats. So I found Sams boat to be comfortable well equipped and an excellent training ground, of course the weather is a plus in the Caribbean Sea and we were able to sail every day if we liked. (more…)

"Having just returned from a most memorable and magical 4 weeks sailing down many of the Caribbean islands its hard to describe it all in a few lines.

IBIS is an extremely comfortable and well managed yacht ideally suited to this type of cruising. Spacious accommodation with incredibly, 3 heads below and a vast cockpit for the warm evenings spent sampling the iresistable Caribbean rum!
